From bottle to shoe

2017 – These shoes are made in a collaboration with the shoe-brand Clarks. The shoes are made out of recycled PET bottles and cork. I started this project by reading an article about the under-capacity of recycling institutions and by researching alternative ways to implement PET bottles in shoes. The shoes are deconstructable as they are held together by metal pins. When you remove the pins the upper, insole and outsole can be recycled separately. This also makes it possible to only replace one of these elements when worn out.
